Measurements and GLL / CLF Files: Prices

We typically measure the directivity balloons at 5 degree resolution (5 degree increments between measurements). If you require higher resolution measurements (e.g. 2 degree or even 1 degree) please let us know and we can provide a quote.

Measurements for Single-Source GLL (GLL file included) $1,250
Loudspeaker measurement and GLL file (single-source, simple loudspeaker type GLL)

We will measure a single directivity balloon (5 degree resolution) for the loudspeaker as well as the sensitivity, impedance (passive system only), and the maximum input voltage.

Measurements Only
Measurements for Single-Source or Multi-Source Directivity Balloons (no GLL file) $1,100 for first balloon

Measurement of each directivity balloon for the individual pass bands of a loudspeaker system

We will measure the directivity balloon (5 degree resolution) for each pass band of the loudspeaker system (e.g. the LF and HF sections) as well as the sensitivity, impedance, and the maximum input voltage of each pass band. We will also measure the crossover filters (supplied by you) used for each pass-band.

We will deliver the individual measurement data files and/or a GSS file for each pass-band. These GSS files can be used to build a GLL file.   No GLL file is delivered.

Simple Loudspeaker GLLs
Multi-Source GLL, Basic Loudspeaker $500
Creation of a multi-source, simple loudspeaker type GLL file from our measurements

We will build and deliver a GLL file using the measurement data we take on your product. This is for a basic loudspeaker with no or very minor input configuration differences. An example might be a two-way loudspeaker with an internal passive crossover that can also be switched to a bi-amp input configuration using an external crossover.

Multi-Source GLL, Extended Loudspeaker $800

We will build and deliver a GLL file using the measurement data we take on your product. This is for a loudspeaker with different input configuration, EQ settings, and/or other user selectable settings that change the sound and/or operation of the loudspeaker system. An example might be a three-way loudspeaker with an internal passive crossover that can also be switched to a bi-amp input configuration using an internal passive crossover and an external crossover and a tri-amp input configuration using only an external crossover.

A great many features of loudspeaker system can be modeled by a GLL. The amount of time required to do this will depend on what performance features of the loudspeaker system need to be modeled. We will provide a quote to build and deliver a GLL that falls into this category.

Line Array GLLs
Multi-Source GLL, Basic Line Array $900
Creation of a multi-source, line array type GLL file from our measurements

We will build and deliver a GLL file for a line array that includes one loudspeaker box type using the measurement data we take on your product. You must supply drawings of the loudspeaker and the fly bar (showing the weight and the center of mass for each), as well as a drawing of the loudspeaker attached to the fly bar and a loudspeaker attached to another loudspeaker to illustrate the rigging.

We will build and deliver a GLL file for a line array that includes multiple loudspeaker box types (i.e. long-throw box, mid-throw box, down-fill box, subwoofer, etc.) using the measurement data we take on your product. You must supply drawings of each of the loudspeakers and the fly bar (showing the weight and the center of mass for each), as well as a drawing of the loudspeaker(s) attached to the fly bar and each loudspeaker attached to the other loudspeakers to illustrate the rigging
